Work description
This tender covers the scope of work for the initial phase of a five-year integrated programme of R&D on nuclear fuel recycle and waste management, to be completed by December 2018. The programme shall undertake research on Aqueous recycle processes as outlined in Section 4 "Research Requirements" p.15 of the ITT, including: i.basic chemistry and technology for dissolution, separations and conversion steps ii.active separations tests on surrogate feeds iii.active dissolution tests on un-irradiated fuels iv.a conversion flowsheet for transuranic (TRU) - containing products v.a minor actinide separations flowsheet for high level waste For background information, the full specification and further information on this project please see the ITT.
