Defra Group Communications conducted a competitive tender under the CCS RM6126 Framework to source a supplier to provide a 24/7 proactive and reactive media services to 6 organisations: Core Defra, Environment Agency (EA), Natural England (NE), Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA), Forestry Commission (FC) and Rural Payment Agency (RPA). The communications team must stay informed about how these organisations are being reported in the media, identify emerging or breaking news stories, and monitor potential reputational risks. This information is essential for key stakeholder, including the Secretary of State, Defra Ministers, Special Advisers, CEOs and Chairs of each ALB, Area Directors, operational leads, senior policy officials and No.10. To support this, a daily morning media summary, seven days a week, is a critical requirement.
