GB-Braintree: Obesity Research

Livewell is a 3-year campaign aimed at reducing the proportion of children who become overweight or obese during primary school (from their baseline) and to increase the physical activity levels of all children.

This project design is based on a whole systems approach to obesity. It incorporates the Foresight Report findings and supports the Government Childhood Obesity Action Plan (DoH, 2016).

BDC requires an evaluation for first year of the Livewell programme. This first year will be seen as a pilot and outcomes will then influence the next stages of the programme.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
