Work description
A bespoke package of training specifically for Black, Asian and minority ethnicities (BAME) aspiring leaders within the adoption arm of social care in order to work towards reducing inequalities within adoption and increase levels of diversity amongst adoption leaders. This package of training will explore the founding of sociology, psychology and other theories that underpin much of the professional training across the public sector, critiquing them from a black perspective and reflect on the theories that contain explicitly racist assumptions. The package will equip practitioners with the skills and knowledge to recognise, challenge and overcome barriers caused by everyday racism.
