GB-Shrewsbury: AMNV 014 - Expressions of Interest for Block Contracts Totalling a Minimum of 15 Short Term Winter Pressure Flexible Nursing and Nursing with Dementia

Shropshire Council is looking to secure a number of short term beds from different nursing homes within Shropshire this winter. The Council's preference is to enter into contracts for up to 3 Nursing/Nursing with dementia care beds in any one home to support expected winter pressures, especially in relation to hospital discharges. The Council wishes to achieve a spread of beds across the county and reserves the right to award contracts containing a combination of beds and homes that best meets overall requirements to support winter pressures.

Referrals to contracted homes will be made by the Council and will relate primarily to adults being discharged from hospital. Referrals may also be made with regard to hospital admission avoidance or to support wider winter pressures. For all service users referred to the service there is an expected outcome of a return home.
