Whole Life Carbon Assessments

The Climate Action Strategy (CAS) sets out a pathway towards net zero carbon emissions within the Square Mile by 2040. Embedding circular economy principles into our capital projects and reducing carbon intensity by using life cycle carbon and cost assessment techniques and design specifications, identified as an action to support the achievement of net zero. You will be required to undertake a Whole Life Carbon Assessment (WLC) using the City of London (CoL) Whole Life Carbon Assessment Checklist. This Checklist has been produced to allow the CoL to align the WLC assessments being undertaken for new work proposed to their building portfolio: - new construction, - refurbishment, - or a combination of the two.
