Work description
The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified specialist consultancy to undertake a Liverpool City Region (LCR) wide Rural Economy and Climate Change (RECC) Study. The study will provide key evidence to support land use planning policy concerning agricultural land and addressing climate change in the forthcoming Spatial Development Strategy (SDS). The RECC Study should be robust in order to support policy development and meet the requirements of national planning policy and guidance (currently comprising the National Planning Policy Framework 2019 (NPPF) and associated Planning Practice Guidance (PPG)) .
The consultancy will also be expected to provide expert advice, robust evidence and support on agricultural land policy related matters leading up to the publication of the SDS, including prior to and during the formal Examination in Public (EiP).
