Description

The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), is embarking on a fully compliant tender process under the UK Public Contract Regulations 2015 with the view of appointing a construction contractor to complete the design and carry out the construction of the Student Centre facility and University Squares project. The Project will improve the student experience and create an attractive and world-class campus for the future of UCLan in line with the University's status as one of the UK's largest universities. Our Campus Masterplan vision is to create an attractive and inviting, world-class campus compatible with UCLan's status as one of the UK's largest universities. A core principle of our plan is to integrate our campus seamlessly with the rest of the City, benefitting current and future generations of students, staff, visitors and the wider community. Developing a skilled workforce which meets local, national and international needs is also a central pillar to our development plans. Over the 10 year lifespan of the programme we anticipate making a multi-million pound investment, helping to create jobs, kick-start regeneration and attract inward investment into the City. Further updated information on our MasterPlan and projects is available through our interactive website: https://uclanmasterplan.co.uk/ https://uclanmasterplan.co.uk/project/student-centre-and-university-squares/ https://uclanmasterplan.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/uclan_masterplan_report_web.pdf UCLan is looking for partners who have a commitment to delivering social value as part of their offer and who are willing to work proactively with UCLan to deliver social value in the areas set out in the tender documentation. Proposals received in response to this notice will therefore in part be evaluated on the basis of tenderers' approach to delivering social value. Further guidance will be provided in the detailed tender documentation. It is expected that social value outcomes will include, but may not be limited to, outcomes falling under the following themes: • Economy • Skills and employment • Communities • Environment The procurement documents are available for unrestricted and full direct access, free of charge at: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/universitycentrallancs/aspx/Home Additional information can be obtained from the above-mentioned address.
