Home to School Transport - Student Network Bus Passes

Description

Provision of student network bus passes on the Isle of Wight to cover travel during term time where the authority has a duty to provide transport from home to school and there is an existing network bus available. The estimated number of passes is about 277 per year over the period including any possible extension. There is only one network bus company that operates across on the Isle of Wight. Therefore we are unable to run a competitive procurement process in line with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 for the supply of the bus passes for students to use on the network busses. The period of the bus passes coincides with the dates and possible extension period of the main Home to School Transport provision contract on the Isle of Wight. We observed a 10 day standstill which will ended at midnight on 5 December 2022. Additional information: The contract period is until 31/8/2023 with the option to extend for up to a further 36 months on the basis of 12 months +12 months + 12 months until August 2026. There is no guarantee of any volume of passes needed or value and any values given are estimated for the whole duration including any possible extension periods.
