Work description

Provision of Heat Network Feasibility Studies. Warwick District Council has received (partial) funding from the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy's (BEIS) Heat Networks Delivery Unit (HNDU) to commission two feasibility studies, the purpose of which are to develop technically feasible and economically viable options for potential heat networks located in Leamington Spa town centre and the Myton area of Warwick

Warwick District Council has secured grant funding from the Department of Energy and Climate Change's Heat Network Development Unit (HNDU) to explore the potential for district heat networks within the existing and planned future urban areas of the District.

The primary aims of the work are as follows:

o To undertake an energy mapping study of the existing and future urban areas of Warwick District, in order to identify potentially useful heating, cooling and power demand loads and potentially useful heat supply opportunities for the purposes of district heating development; and, o To use the outputs of energy mapping to inform the development of an energy master plan for the proposed area identifying, evaluating and prioritising any identified potential district heating scheme opportunities.
