Mayor Fares - Economist

The Combined Authority is seeking external support to assist in defining, developing and implementing economic principles for reimbursement of bus operators for the capped bus fare. This is required as part of the legal agreement for Mayor's Fares where it was stated that external support would be sought. As part of the legal agreement in Year 1 of Mayor's Fares, it was agreed that we would seek professional economic advice to help with the reimbursement rates and model for year 2. The work required will look at trends seen during the first year, involve engagement with the Department for Transport and provide supporting evidence for meetings with bus operators on reimbursement.
