Work description
NOTE: This notice was updated on 06 April 2018 for the following reason: Extension to deadline until noon Friday 20th April 2018.Shropshire Council wishes to appoint a Contractor to undertake a Landscape and Visual Sensitivity Study for Shropshire.
The Study forms part of the evidence base for the Local Plan Review (LPR). It will assess the sensitivity of land around 57 settlements and up to 5 strategic sites within Shropshire to three forms of development (housing, employment, and mixed use) and identify effective mitigation measures as appropriate. The conclusions of the Study will inform the selection of suitable sites for allocation in the LPR. The Study will also provide a sound basis for decision making in the determination of planning applications.
The Council is undertaking a LPR Preferred Options consultation on allocated sites in autumn 2018 and the Study will need to be completed by the end of August 2018.
Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
